Kjell Samuelsson is a former defenseman who played 14 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the New York Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers (1986-92, 1995-98), Pittsburgh Penguins and Tampa Bay Lightning. He made the All-Star game in 1988 as a member of the Flyers and won the Stanley Cup in 1992 with the Penguins. He played 813 career NHL games, scoring 48 goals and 138 assists for 186 points, as well as compiling 1,225 penalty minutes. He is currently the Flyers Director of Player Development.
